There has been a good deal of discussion about the security implications of including information on living individuals on genealogical websites. Potential concerns are twofold. Firstly, there are simple issues of privacy associated with birthdates, adoption, etc. Secondly, there is risk that published information may assist in identity theft.
We believe that living individuals have a right to privacy. Accordingly this website does not contain any details, such as birthdates, of individuals believed to be living. Names of living individuals are shown as "Living".
Specifically, individuals born after 1893 are regarded as potentially living, unless it is known they are deceased. Marriages after 1913 have also been concealed.
Family members & friends may request a Login ID and a Password by way of registering an account which will enable them to see more information of living individuals within the tree. Please feel free to Register your account, which will give you more access to different parts of this site. Each new account must be "authorized" by the site administrator. For reasons stated above, we do not authorize new accounts for individuals that are not a member of the Secord or Worcester lineage, or to people that are not known.
If you notice any personal information on this site regarding living individuals, please contact us and we will remove it.
Alternatively, if you are able to clarify that an individual listed as "Living" (say, a child of a named individual) is actually deceased, please let us know that also.
Rest assured that under no circumstances would we ever pass on any email address/es or other personal details to any third party.
